Born in Miri, Sarawak, in 1970, Ting Cho Chien is a Malaysian contemporary artist known for paintings inspired by local culture, nature and traditional textiles. He studied Fine Art at the Central Academy of Art in Malaysia.
His signature works often combine detailed batik motifs with landscapes, still-life subjects and familiar scenes from Malaysian life. Through strong colours and intricate patterns, he transforms traditional fabric into a contemporary visual language.
