Jack Chang is a Malaysian artist based in Kuala Lumpur. He graduated in Fine Art from the Kuala Lumpur College of Art in 1995 and is especially recognised for his atmospheric watercolour landscapes and city scenes. Through expressive colour, light and composition, he transforms familiar surroundings into paintings filled with mood and emotion.

Painting captures Kuala Lumpur at the quiet meeting point between night and dawn. The city below glimmers with scattered lights, while familiar landmarks—including the Petronas Twin Towers—emerge through layers of mist and distant hills.
A tall illuminated skyscraper rises prominently on the left, guiding the viewer’s eye towards the golden light breaking along the horizon. Above, deep shades of blue and charcoal gradually soften into warm yellow, creating a striking contrast between darkness and hope.
More than a cityscape, the painting reflects Kuala Lumpur’s energy, ambition and constant transformation. The first light beyond the mountains suggests a new beginning—a reminder that even after the darkest night, the city awakens with renewed possibilities.
Collectors & Lovers of Malaysian cityscapes are warmly invited to experience its atmosphere and details in person.
