As part of our 4th Year Anniversary Exhibition, “Four Chapters, One Journey”, we were delighted to host a meaningful Art Sharing Session featuring two distinguished artists, Lim Kim Hai & Calvin Chua, with the session warmly guided by our emcee, Shireen Lee.
The session offered a rare opportunity for guests to hear directly from the artists — their personal journeys, artistic philosophies, and the inspirations behind their works. Both Calvin Chua and Lim Kim Hai shared insightful reflections on their creative paths, challenges, and evolving styles, allowing the audience to connect with their art on a deeper and more personal level.
With Shireen Lee leading the conversation, the session flowed naturally into an engaging and thoughtful dialogue, where guests were invited to ask questions and exchange perspectives. It was truly a moment of connection — not just between artist and audience, but also among fellow art lovers.
A heartfelt thank you to Calvin Chua, Lim Kim Hai, and Shireen Lee, as well as all attendees who made this session so memorable and inspiring.
Art Sharing Session By Lim Kim Hai & Calvin Chua During 4th Anniversary Show – Four Chapters, One Journey on Sunday 18th Jan 2026.
Lim Kim Hai is a respected Malaysian senior artist known for his disciplined approach and refined oil painting technique. His still lifes demonstrate strong structure, sensitive lighting, and a deep understanding of colour harmony—qualities that make his works enduring and collectible.
Vivid and energetic, this painting celebrates the rambutan—an unmistakable symbol of the tropics. Lim Kim Hai renders the spiky fruits with expressive yet controlled brushwork, balancing intensity of colour with thoughtful shadow and space.
Soft, restrained, and meditative, this painting highlights Lim Kim Hai’s sensitivity to light and form. The peaches are rendered with gentle tonal transitions, allowing their rounded forms to feel natural and tactile. The simple plate and striped backdrop frame the subject without distraction.
This still life captures a moment of calm balance and generosity. The translucent grapes glow softly under controlled light, while the oranges anchor the composition with warmth and weight. Lim Kim Hai’s mastery of oil paint is evident in the delicate skin textures, subtle highlights, and confident handling of drapery folds.

✨ Let us handle the details—so your art can travel with confidence.
This evocative painting by Lee Eng Beng presents a raw and intimate glimpse into everyday human existence. The figures are shown resting, waiting, or lost in quiet moments — their postures heavy, their expressions subdued, as if time itself has slowed.
What stands out immediately is the emphasis on the human body, particularly the exaggerated hands and feet. These are not merely anatomical details; they symbolise labour, burden, survival, and resilience. The figures feel grounded — physically and emotionally — reflecting lives shaped by routine, responsibility, and quiet endurance.
In one scene, the presence of newspapers and a teacup suggests daily rituals and economic realities, while in another, clustered bodies convey shared fatigue and unspoken solidarity. Lee Eng Beng does not dramatise these moments; instead, he allows silence and stillness to speak.

This powerful monochrome painting by Meor captures the quiet intensity of an Arowana gliding through darkness. Rendered with striking realism, the fish appears suspended in still water — alert, solitary, and dignified.
The absence of colour amplifies the emotional weight of the piece. Light gently caresses the scales, fins, and eyes, revealing texture and movement against a deep, atmospheric background. The composition feels meditative, almost spiritual, inviting the viewer to slow down and observe the beauty of restraint and silence.

As framers, we don’t just build frames — we hold memories, stories, and emotions within them.
From the moment an artwork or treasured piece arrives at our workshop, we treat it with care, patience, and respect. Every measurement, every cut, every layer is done with one simple hope — that when you finally receive your frame, you feel satisfied, proud, and happy.
Framing is not just a job for us — it is a craft shaped by experience, trust, and responsibility. Whether it is an artwork, a photograph, a certificate, or a deeply personal keepsake, we understand that each piece carries meaning beyond its appearance. Being trusted to frame it is something we never take lightly.
There is a special kind of joy we experience when a customer sees their finished frame for the first time. That quiet smile. That moment of pause. That simple “This is exactly what I wanted.”
Those moments remind us why we do what we do.

Restoration isn’t just about repairing damage; it’s about respecting history and giving art a new life.
At PRO ART & FRAME, we believe every artwork carries emotion, memory, and meaning. Our framer, with over 20 years of experience, carefully studied the piece — the texture of the canvas, the strokes, and the signs of aging. With delicate hands and professional care, we began a process not just of restoration, but of reviving its soul.
Art touch-up may look simple, but behind every brushstroke lies a challenge only experience can handle.
Unlike repainting, art touch-up is about respect — preserving the artist’s original tone, texture, and emotion. Every pigment must be blended seamlessly to match the exact colour tone, light balance, and brush rhythm of the original artist. Even a slight difference in hue or direction of stroke can change the mood of the whole painting.
It takes a trained eye and steady hand — guided by over 20 years of framing and art-handling experience — to restore without overdoing, to heal without rewriting.
Art touch-up isn’t just technical work; it’s a form of dialogue with the original artist — understanding their method, their pressure, their pace.
At PRO ART & FRAME, we approach every restoration and touch-up with the same dedication we give to framing: patience, precision, and passion.

This charming series by Ng Chi Ling invites viewers into the quiet poetry of Malaysian heritage homes — spaces where time seems to breathe gently through pastel shutters, flowering trees, and warm glowing interiors.
Each painting captures a small yet deeply evocative façade, framed by leafy branches and blooming foliage. The artist’s meticulous attention to the weathered shutters, patterned curtains, and handcrafted lamps reveals a world rich with nostalgia — a reminder of evenings spent near windows, the scent of home-cooked meals, and conversations carried in the breeze.
Ng Chi Ling’s style feels intimate and personal. His strokes are crisp yet tender, allowing textures of aged wood, clay roof tiles, and sun-kissed leaves to emerge with remarkable clarity. The play of colours — lilac purples, mint greens, sky blues, buttery yellows, and blushing pinks — infuses each scene with personality and charm, turning these windows into storytellers of a life once lived, or still lovingly remembered.
