Haron Mokhtar was born in Sungai Besar, Selangor at 1963. He graduated with Diploma in Fine Art and Art Education from UiTM in 1988. He held his first solo exhibition in 1994 and his painting has been sold at art auction.
Iconic buildings from each state in Malaysia was his art trademark, the details of the building always catch the attention of people. The art of Haron Mokhtar normally separate into two parts, upper part was the building and bottom was the culture or daily activities conduct by the people from each places.
