Phaik Kee

Trained as an art director, she started her career in
graphic design and art direction, and turned it to art
for more creative freedom in visual storytelling.
A self taught painter and artist, her works often
connect real life storytelling with her own cultural
background and personal memories. Her
observation of human behavior and the urban
landscape inspired her to inform viewers of the
complex and inextricable relationship between
themselves and the modern life.
“I see myself as an investigator. Not only to the
people and events happening around me, but also to
my own thoughts and habits. It’s a never-ending
process.”
She has presented her works in the “61 years of
Malaysia” Group Exhibition in 2018 Malaysia Fashion
Week. She lives and works in Kuala Lumpur.
